EnergyNewsToday Inc was founded by Tony Mercandetti and Keith Sawyer September 2001. The pair had previously held positions on the energy desk of Bridge News which obtained the Knight Ridder Financial group. Mercandetti and Sawyer worked previously in editorial positions at Bloomberg LP and Petroleum Publications/Oil Buyers' Guide to include a stint with McGraw Hill. The two have collaborated on downstream energy markets and refining since 1984 with Tony's career spanning back to March 1982.
